An idiot’s guide to Korean fashion – p.1
Korean fashion.
Part One of Two.
You know, you really shouldn't be listening to me on this issue. I was already pretty faux metro in the States... but for what it's worth here's a simple observation and commentary of what can be commonly seen in Korea. By no means is this as detailed as it should be but for a non-fashion industry guy's observation, I feel it's worth mentioning. Nothing found on the runway, but certainly on the streets by young people. I present to you what's happening in the world of male fashion according to a man with no appreciable fashion sense.
- Pink -
Look. I'm not here to make the whole "Korean guys wear pink" argument. Pink is found in all countries and is worn by men and women alike. Of course... Show more

Fear and bathrooms in Korea
Korean bathrooms.
This is clearly one of the first things I should have written about. Korean bathrooms can be summed up in one word: surprising. It's always a experience with every new bathroom I visit.
Let's get right into the messy goodness that is Korean restrooms. Allow me to break this post into a few helpful points of interest:

- Slippers -
Walking into all private and a few public bathrooms, one will undoubtedly notice the pair of clear plastic slippers greeting you upon entry. The curious foreigner might imagine that these were carelessly left by a forgetful family member or perhaps used when the bathroom floods. No, kind sir, these shoes are for you...and everyone else. That's right.... Show more

Super Girls, Ninja Assassins, and More Monsters
I won't even waste words with this one, when the video needs no words. At all.
Epik High should parody more movies. This was amazing XD
So excited for their album , and very sad that it wasn't on iTunes yet when I rolled out of bed this morning.
I'm not normally one who favours subgroups more than the actual main group, but in the case of Super Junior the opposite is true for me. I love their Chinese subgroup, Super Junior M, so much more than I have been loving the main group in recent months.
Super Junior M is made up of 5 members from the main group: 동해 (Donghae), 규현 (Kyuhyun), 한긍 (Hangeng, also known as 한경 (Hankyung)), 려욱 (Ryeowook) and 시원 (Siwon). The remaining 2 members, Zhou Mi and Henry, are members of only this... Show more

New MVs from rocker Moon Hee Jun & R&B artist M
Two excellent MVs and songs have been released since I last posted. The first is the latest from rocker 문희준. 문희준 used to be in an SM Entertainment boyband called H.O.T. Although they didn't last as long as labelmates 신화 and Fly To The Sky, they are considered one of the most well-known and influential Korean boybands of the time. After H.O.T split ways, the members enjoyed themselves some solo careers.
Personally, while I love me some old school k-pop, I hated probably all but two or three of their songs. I much prefer the member's solo works. Their solo stuff ranges from ballads to hiphop to R&B, with 문희준 doing something a little different - rock.
His stuff is a bit hit and miss with me. Some of it's incredibly cool, some of... Show more

Korean Stuff in Texas – Part One – Denton
Listeners Unite!
direct link
p.1
p.2
I want to take some time out from writing to share with you part one of a four part part series of Korean Stuff in Texas. These videos are to highlight four places in Texas where you can expect something Korean-related. I should mention that these videos are from my own personal opinions and viewpoints. Having said that, I hope that if you living or visiting any of these cities, you find the videos helpful.
Okay, let's talk about Denton. It's located north of Dallas. It's the home of two universities: UNT and TWU. Although UNT currently doesn't have any formal Korean language classes, it does have a whole mess of other language classes. Including one for non-native speakers. It's an... Show more
