Tips for speaking practice

Postby tkmayfie » July 8th, 2010 4:47 pm

I'm going to be staying in Seoul for three weeks in Auguse studying at an intensive program at SNU. I want to take full advantage of the time I'll be there and try to learn all I can. One area I am weak at is speaking. Does anyone have any tips on practicing speaking whether its walking about the city, clubs, etc!?!?? Thanks!

Hello tkmayfie,

:o

You are going to visit Korea soon! "WoW~~!"

I can't give you so much detailed info about that since I am not in Korea now.
I know some clubs in Seoul but... I can't recommend you any club since there are tons of different people in clubs.

This is difficult task for me to solve.
Is there anyone who can help tkmayfie?
He/she is looking for good places to practice speaking Korean!

cheers,

My advice -- talk talk talk -- everywhere you go - talk. Don't be shy, don't be afraid to make mistakes -- keep talking! And if someone with a uniform and a badge tell you to shut up then start a conversation with him/her too.  Oh... and don't forget to listen too hehehe.

Woa, what a really great opportunity you got there.

As for the practice, I think the only way to improve is that don't be afraid to talk, talk, and talk. It's just the same method in learning any kind of language that is not your mother tongue.

Can't wait for your update about the trip soon.

I think it is somewhat difficult to learn the korean language as compared to other kinds of languages. So if you need to learn the korean language you can use this website, since sometimes some posts will include the learning tips of korean language.
