Play a game, Learn a language

Postby kksimons9097 » June 20th, 2012 11:17 am

HI everybody,

So I'm a student here in Korea at Kyunghee Univesity doing a degree in Korean education. I also love palying roleplaying games (nerdy ones like Dungeons and Dragons, etc) so I've been working on an rpg game where, when and as you play, you learn Korean. I was wondering if anyone knew of any games designed to teach Korean and what people think of the idea. Are there are gamer geeks out there learning Korean like me?

Hi kksimons9097,

sounds like a very interesting game! I'm curious to see what our listeners think of the idea!

Hi there,

I was thinking the same exactly thing the other day, I wonder if thoughts really create reality sometimes.
I was thinking about a rpg entirely focused on learning, a game where you have to talk to people in the village who tells you their story and you have to help them out.
No text at the beginning, just listen and try to figure out what people wants trough pictures, object and signs.
Only in an advance level, text starts to appear.

this is roughly what I imagined (:
