Need some tips before moving to Korea for about a year

Postby clownshater » January 1st, 2010 1:22 pm

Hello everyone :)
I've already posted some questions about traveling in Korea in this forum and I always got great answers so I decided to ask my questions here!

I will go to Korea from the end of February 2010 until December 2010, as an exchange student, and basically I need to know a lot about daily life. I found a place that seems nice and exchanged emails with the owner, and she told me that I could come because a room was available and I am really interested in it. The problem is that I don't know what I should do to be certain that the owner is actually waiting for me, because I won't be able to meet her before moving there. She told me how much the rent and the security deposit was, but I am not sure how to pay that. Do owners in Korea accept cash? Should I open an account there? Is it possible to pay from an account overseas?

If someone has experienced this, I would be glad to have some advice :)

Thanks a lot,
Marine.
