대장금

Postby Alexis » June 10th, 2009 5:50 am

안녕하세요 여러분! 오랜만이에요!

At the moment, I'm FINALLY watching 대장금 (Dae Jang Geum)! And I'm really really loving it! However, I was just wondering (for those who know more about Korean history than myself) how accurate it is in terms of historical facts and such (I wasn't sure whether to put this in the History forum)? Watching this drama is encouraging a great love of Korean history in me, along with a bit of pride for having been born there! But yeah... I was just wondering whether it's very accurate, or whether some of you watch it and just think it's stupid?

At least,
There was a woman named 장금 lived in the King 중종 era.
THat was the true.

All of her life is a fiction.

Oh, there is one more thing.

She was one of the royal medical staffs.
And she seems to have won the King's favor.

:D

I didn't mean the character of 장금 herself. I meant the things they do. Like: the way they live... and the way/s they cook and stuff... are those things accurate?

Oh, I understand now. :)

Although it's not exactly same with the way they lived,
I know that the film makers tried to fulfill the historical point of view.
At least I heard like that.

I like the way 장금 cooked. I knew about Korean food from this drama and I would love to try every thing.
