"디게"?

I hear this often, used to mean "very":

디게 아프다
디게 웃기다
Is this a slang?

What about "엄청" - is this a slang too, and are there any circumstances whereby I shouldn't use these expressions e.g. formal occasions?

It's an alternate pronunciation of the intensifier '되게'.

엄청 is kind of the same thing, but I feel it is a little stronger than 되게.

되게 isn't slang or weird at all, so it's ok to use it in most situations, but 디게 (사투리) and 엄청 are best left to informal situations.
