Well, women's table tennis team event finals, Singapore lost to China (expected), so it's China (gold), Singapore (silver) and Korea (bronze). But honestly, watching the Koreans' defensive chopping style really drives me crazy! I'm sure it drives their opponents crazy too.

And Korea's badminton mixed doubles upset the Indonesians in straight sets to clinch the gold!!

Congratulations Singapore on their first medal since 1960! So that means Korea will have a chance at the Bronze, right? Hope so!

Korea also takes Bronze in the table tennis men's team event.
It's too bad that Ryu Seung Min lost a handful of matches in the competition, but he did clinch the medal. Hopefully he'll play better in trying to defend his singles title from Athens.

Yoo Won-chul gets a Silver in gymnastics (on parallel bars)

A bit late, but there was also the weightlifter Jang Mi-ran who won Gold, setting 3 world records for the highest weight class in the process, so she could be considered "world's strongest woman". I saw MBC show a segment about her. A few days prior to that, Sa Jae-hyouk won Korea's first Gold in weightlifting.

What a finish in baseball! What a run through the tournament!
That gives Korea its 13th Gold Medal, a new record for an Olympic Games

Also, Rain will perform at the Closing Ceremony on Sunday night.

Both the opening and closing ceremonies were quite a show.

Sad that the Games are over, but we'll do it all again in 18 months, with the 2010 Winter Olympics. The focus of Koreans then will probably be on the short track speed skaters and Kim Yu-Na.

Yeah this year's Olympic was the best year in the Korean baseball history! :) They won every single game... that was really awesome.
