Do you have Korean aspects in your town / city?

Postby ray12001554 » November 19th, 2014 5:55 pm

I recently made a short video about some different aspects of Korea in London.
Maybe you will find it interesting?

Does anybody else have experience of how Korean culture is like outside of Korea? Would be really interesting to hear your experiences :) :skorea:

Thanks for the reply Engla.

Indeed, it would be interesting to hear how Korea has reached across the world!

We have plenty of Korean food stores here in Vietnam. Even some theme festivals. Korean wave and Korean culture are developing strongly here, just like in other Asian countries as well!

We have a lot of Korean places here in Brooklin! Most of them are food stores but I really enjoy them.
Also I have some pictures of them, go ahead and view them here :D

I live in Waterloo Ontario which is a relatively small city around 2 hours from Toronto which has a big Koreatown. Even though Waterloo is small, we have many Korean students at the universities which have clubs for Korean students. There are university Korean courses for credit and King Sejong Institute runs non-credit courses too. We have a specialized Korean grocery store and some other Asian stores that include Korean foods. I have noticed several different Korean restaurants, but only eaten at two of them. I have seen a church with a Korean sign on it so I suppose it must have a Korean congregation.

I had lived in Waterloo for years and not really noticed these things until I started watching Kdramas. That made me more aware of Korean culture around me. I also realized that I am surrounded by many Korean products, like my car and my piano.
