Most of the time we westerners don't know if we're coming or going. If I'm at the location already (church) I/he/she/they may "come" HERE next week; if I am not at the location (still at home) I/he/she/they will have to "go" THERE (to church) in order to get there. Koreans are a little more specific when it comes to describing leaving one place and going to or arriving at another. Also, if I am talking about someone else going to church as if I would meet them there, or I would be there also, then I would speak about them coming to church.
