순댓국 is kind of a 'meat soup' -- I have eaten Korean food for a long time but never got around to trying this soup until recently. As it turned out, I happened to be eating in the restaurant when a young reporter for Korean Central Daily approached me and asked to take my picture. There is a funny story I have to tell about our initial conversation but I will keep this initial post brief.
About the soup: Soondaegook tasted good but the texture of all those different parts of the pig and the look of it was less than pleasant to me. So I just didn't look at it while I was eating. I suppose it's a little like eating a hotdog --you really don't want to know what's in it.
) we were out walking around and a guy waved us into his restaurant. At the time we were complete Korean newbies and fresh off the plane. keke We ended up getting served wang soondae kuk. I remember being a bit grossed out but overall enjoyed the rice, soup and kimchi. Later my Korean friends laughed when they saw the pics of where we ate.
