advanced grammar?

Postby holdfast » December 15th, 2007 4:11 pm

hello everyone,

i am a fairly new korean learner (since february), but i have already found that all the websites i've been able to find are at a very beginner level. i am having trouble finding more advanced grammar online. can anyone recommend any websites that have intermediate levels?

i have also looked for books, but since there is not a high demand for korean language learning in the city where i live, they are hard to find as well. i have quite a few korean friends here, but they usually cannot help me either because i don't know how to explain what i am asking for or they do not know how to explain it in english.

really, what i am looking for are explanations for different sentence endings, and ways to make more compund sentences (for example, using multiple verbs in one sentence).

i am sure that this forum will be very helpful, but i am also looking for lessons. does anyone know where to find them?

thank you!
emily

You can also try http://www.fsi-language-courses.com/Korean.aspx these are textbooks produced by US governement so they're in public domain. The audio for the first volume is at http://outsideinkorea.com/inside/2007/0 ... course.php.
hey're a bit old and tedious, just going through 1 lesson takes long time, nevertheless they are very thorough if you spend the time. However, I would definitely still use this site alot, this is easier to learn from, its more 'modern' - people dont speak like they do in the FSI course as far as I know, and its more 'fun' to listen to this. Still, though look at those they are very helfull
