Yes, that's correct. You only say 'man' once. It can be multiplied up to the 'cheon man' digit -> 1,000 * 10,000 = 10,000,000

You don't need to say 일천. Just 천 will do.

You have two 십만 places. You say 천만 right before 백만 just like you say 천 right before 백. The number you posted is

54, 968,000 -> 오천사백구십육만 팔천

This thread has brought an interesting question to mind.

Let's say I was tutoring someone in math but was speaking (not writing) the numbers in Korean. How would this be translated?

5 + 4 = 9
10 - 6 = 4
3 x 5 = 15
20 / 4 = 5

How would this be written to be spoken in Korean?
Would I use the Chinese number set or the Korean number set?

오 더하기 사는 구

10 - 6 = 4
십 빼기 육은 사

3 x 5 = 15
삼 곱하기 오는 십오

20 / 4 = 5
이십 나누기 사는 오
