Postby toyas20137209 » October 30th, 2013 12:43 pm

why is 현 spelled with ㅕ in it? I thought ㅕ is yeo, but romanization hyun, show different spelling. Someone please answer it's driving me star raving mad...ha, I can't move on until I figure out what I'm not getting here.

Update: I looked at a wiki and it said the actual rominization for hyun 현 is hyeon o.o..right? but...BAH I don't get it :<

Hey Toyas,

We are so sorry for the late reply! This was indeed a good question though as my last letter of Korean name is 현.

When I was young, it used to be written as Hyun and they have changed probably around 5-10 years ago into Hyeon.

What was the reason you have found? Please share with us!

Thank you
