Long shot...

Postby cheri » April 1st, 2009 5:02 am

This is a long shot, but I was wondering if there were any common "rules" to go by when using words such as 너무, 많이, 참, 아주, 완전히, 엄청, 되게, 정말, 너무나도, 매우 etc. Like in English, at many times a majority of them are interchangeable, but in certain situations, not. I'm guessing it just comes with time and practice... learning how to get a feel for the different nuances in various circumstances. :)

Yeah it really depends on the situation and the context, but for one thing, 너무나도 and 매우 are usually for written Korean ^^
