Hangul Recognition Practice, Romanization

Postby Ormiss » September 25th, 2008 4:46 pm

안녕하세요? 제 이름은 요나스예요.

I've been practicing my reading speed with the Hangul Recognition Practice, and I've noticed some things that seem odd to me. I'm still a newbie, so I figure this is some rule I don't yet know about. :)

What I've learned so far tells me that 뮤 should be "myu", but when I write it, the program tells me: "Incorrect, 뮤 = my". Is 뮤 a special case in romanization? With 뷰 and 규 it says that it should be "byu" and "gyu", which are more familiar to me.

It's the same with 텨. It tells me: "Incorrect, 텨 = teo". I thought it would be "tyeo."

Am I missing something?
I'm sorry if this question has been asked before.

감사합니다.

I'm not an expert, but it looks like a glitch in the system to me.

Yeah, you were right and the system was wrong.

뮤 should be "myu" and 텨 should be "tyeo".
