Bathroom lesson?

Postby lobbastah » October 9th, 2007 3:48 am

I ran into a woman today who had gone to Seoul for the Olympics years ago (1988?) and she was telling me that she and her friends went to a part of Korea where no one spoke English, and she had to use the bathroom. But she didn't know how to ask that in Korean, so she had to "act out" like charades what she needed in order to be directed to the restroom, where she was distraught to find a man in there!

So I was thinking this would be a very useful lesson to include, as anyone who visits Korean should know how to ask where the restroom is and perhaps what to expect once inside!
