The difference between different levels

Postby achillestatius3727 » September 5th, 2010 6:35 am

Hi Korean Class 101,

I recently started using the site, and I am interested to know the difference between.

Beginner Series
Newbie Series
Absolute Beginner Series

If you were learning Korean from scratch, would you aim to do all three series? Or would just one be enough, and if so, which one?

Thanks a bunch!

Matthew

Hello Matthew,

Nice to meet you Matthew~~~

Beginner Series
Newbie Series
Absolute Beginner Series

All depends on your Korean level and skill.
Don't know Korean at all - Absolute Beginner
Know very little of Korean - Newbie
Know some of Korean - Beginner

Learning language must be in order.
The first recommendation to you is to study "Hangeul" first.
Think like this! If you teach English to your children, you must teach English Alphabet first right? English vowels and consonants.
Korean has its own Alphabet called "Hangeul". It is also divided into two categories - vowels and consonants. IT IS VERY IMPORTANT TO LEARN KOREAN ALPHABET FIRST!!!
The more you are clear with 'Hangeul', the more learning Korean gets easier.
After that, choose your level and listen to lessons.
I think you are new here, right? I think Absolute Beginner is good for you. Give yourself listen to Absolute Beginner Season 1 and Season 2. I personally made the Season 2. I truly think my lessons - Absolute Beginner Season 2 - will help you study Korean effectively. BUT it's UPTO you!
I hope I can meet you throughout my lessons.
cheers,

Tim
