Do you know how to talk about gradual changes in Korean? |
Welcome to Three Step Korean Practice by KoreanClass101.com. In this lesson, you will practice how to talk about gradual changes. |
Let’s look at the main dialogue. |
A person is talking about their work. |
요즘에 사업이 많이 바빠져서 매일 야근이에요. 가족들이랑 저녁을 같이 먹은 지도 정말 오래됐어요. (Yojeume saeobi mani bappajyeoseo maeil yageunieyo. Gajokdeurirang jeonyeogeul gachi meogeun jido jeongmal oraedwaesseoyo.) |
Lately, my business has gotten so busy that I work overtime every day. It’s been a long time since I had dinner with my family. |
In this dialogue, the speaker says "요즘에 사업이 많이 바빠져서 매일 야근이에요." |
바빠져서 (bappajyeoseo) is the conjugated form of the word 바쁘다 (bappeuda), which comes from "to be busy" and -아지다 ("to become".) The verb stem 바쁘- combines with -아지다 and undergoes a contraction, resulting in 바빠지다 ("to become busy"). |
Let’s practice with this grammar more in this lesson. |
