| Dana: The pattern for explaining the reason for doing actions one after another has 3 elements. First, there’s the adjective plus the conjunction particle, |
| Jaehwi: 아/어/여서 (a/eo/yeo seo). |
| Jaehwi: 피곤해서 (pigonhaeseo). |
| Dana: Second, there’s the intention, to sleep in the near future. |
| Jaehwi: 자려고요 (jaryeogoyo). |
| Dana: All together, we have "I'm tired so I'm going to sleep." |
| Jaehwi: 피곤해서 자려고요. (pigonhaeseo jareo garyeogoyo.) [slow] |

| Dana: The conjunction particle, |
| Jaehwi: 아/어/여 서 (a/eo/yeo seo), |
| Dana: is a conjunction that connects two actions that take place one after the other. It is used after verb stems. After using this phrase, you connect another action that took place, by adding the verb stem and suffix. In this case, it’s the verb stem plus suffix… |

| Dana: You can use this phrase for the past, present, and future tense by changing the ending of the sentence to the past, present, or future tense. |

| Dana: So remember 아/어/여 서 (a/eo/yeo seo) is a conjunction used to explain the reason for the following action or condition. |
