KOREAN KEYBOARD

Postby hyunwoo » August 15th, 2007 7:12 am

Hi guys,

I know some of you can already type very well in Korean,
but for a lot of people it's still not easy to find a keyboard guide
to the Korean characters.

I'm a Windows user, so unfortunately I can only tell you
that you can install the Korean keyboard by going to Settings, and Control Panel,
and there you will see Language Options. There you can add or delete extra keyboards.

Once you've installed the Korean keyboard on your system, you can always
click on the little triangle next to the (KO) box at the right-handed bottom
of the page and make a keyboard guide appear, but if you want something
bigger and clearer than that, here you go!

Click on the links to see the bigger images!! ^_^

And if you want something more printer-friendly, here you are.

Print it out and stick on the wall behind your desk, and throw it away as soon as you've mastered all the positions of the Korean letters on your keyboard!

Thank you!

I wrote about installing korean support on Windows XP in the hangul thread. Maybe you should post this there as well? ^^ 8)

My local 한국 식품점 had a couple of keyboards the last time I was there and they were relatively inexpensive, $15 or somewhere around there. I didn't buy one so I am still hunting and pecking :( .

I think I should buy one of those keyboards where the keys could digitally change because I am learning so many languages now it's almost being essential to me to have a keyboard. It would be more easier to learn if I didn't have to remember everything in my head hehe.

Here is an example: http://www.artlebedev.com/everything/optimus/

There is a LED-display in every key. This one is 1564.37 USD. A bit too much

Wow this is amazing! It's really too expensive, as you said, but it's still a WOW. :D

Teal'c? :o
Indeed, I would buy one or two of these at a tenth the price but right now that is way too expensive. Definitely a luxury item.

marysuesylw, 안녕하세요 ^_^

You need to press H and L to make a "ㅚ" :D

Is your name "Mary"?

Yes, but I normally go by Mary Sue 메리수. I checked the comments for the podcast, and that helps. 간삽니다!

메리수, 반갑습니다. :D

And 'thank you' is '감사합니다.' ^_^
