A. Key Vocabulary
Please translate the following vocabulary into Korean.
Example - 1. "one" : hint (ha-na)
하(ha)나(na) - 하나

2. "one person": hint (han sa-ram)
한(han) 사(sa)-ram(람) - 한 사람
3. "per" : hint (dang)
당(dang)
4. "per one person?" : hint (han sa-ram dang)

5. "two persons" : hint (du sa-ram)

6. "How much is it?" : hint (eol-ma-e-yo?)

7. "please give me" : hint (ju-se-yo)

8. "Korean currency" : hint (won)


B. Lesson Focus

Please translate the following into Korean.

3. "21,700 won" : hint (i-man cheon chil-baek won)

4. "It's nine-twenty-five." : hint (ji-geum-eun a-hop-si i-sip-o-bun imnida.)

5. "That is ten-thousand won." : hint (jeo-geot-eun man-won imnida.)

6. "This # is 123." : hint (i-geot-eun baek-i-sip-sam beon imnida)

7. "Today is September sixth." : hint (o-neul-eun gu-wol yuk-il imnida.)

8. "It's thirty thousand won for one person." : hint (han sa-ram-dang sam-man-won imnida)


If you answer them in Korean, that's PERFECT!
If you answer them in Romanization, that's good too.

I hope this practice sheet helps you learn Korean better.

1. "October" is 십월 "the tenth of month"
However, we pronounce it 시월 (not 십월).
like... 시월 구일. 시월 이십오일.

2. How much is that book?
책은 저것에 얼마에요?
"that book" 저 + 책 = 저 책 (subject)
therefore, 저 책은 얼마에요?

3. That book is 5789 won
저것 책은 오천 칠백 팔십구 원 입니다.
Yes, "that" is 저것 however!!! when it describes a noun (like "that book"), omit 것.
Therefore, "that book" is 저 + 책 = 저 책.

4. you wrote,
"야구 게임과 농구 게임은 언제 있습니다?"
- GOOD!

"게임은 구월 이십일(일?)입니다. 야구게임은 오전 아홉시에 입니다. 농구게임은 오후 두시에 입니다"
- "21th" 이십일 일. I think you did good! Good enough!

"감사합니다! 게임이 얼마에요?"
- Good!

"당 게임은 만원 입니다."
- (한) 게임 당 "per one game". We don't say 당 게임 but, instead we say 게임 당 = 한 게임 당 "per one game"

Okay... that's all!

"that building" = 저 건물
