Lang-8.com/ Improve your writing abilities!

Postby Rizuk » June 18th, 2008 8:36 pm

So a friend of mine who studies japanese sent me a message on youtube today and said "So I was watching koichiben's latest video and he talks about this website" and she sent it to me.

http://www.lang-8.com/

Basically, what it is is a website that allows you to post up things you write and then other, native speakers will correct your entry if it is wrong. This will help you improve your writing abilities greatly, right?

Here is the original video from Koichiben talking about this website.

Hope you guys find it useful!

Okay all, http://lang-8.com rocks my socks. I started an open KC101 group at lang-8 for those who want some help with their Korean writing. I have found it extremely helpful thus far. http://lang-8.com/group/238

I started a lang-8 account too ^^. I decided that I would write on a theme, so all my entries so far are about practicing aikido: http://lang-8.com/member/22667/journals

I got myself an account too. I want to try to write something short every day, but we'll see how it goes. I've also been having fun helping other people with their English!

^_^ But I don't use it very often, because people always leave me comments in Korean which I don't understand! =P And half the time, I don't understand the corrections, either! :P ...I made a topic somewhere here for remedying that...

Underneath your profile pic, there should be a big button that says "Make new Entry" or something like that. ^_^ You can also just go to YOUR journal and start a new entry.

To correct others, on your homepage, it should bring up a list of people's entries you can correct. Just click on one and... correct away!

When you make an entry in your own journal, it will give you the option to say what language you'd like help with.

Points? I'm not sure about points. But I know that, if you're referring to the no. next to your name, that's the amount of friends you have.
