to have a future

Postby iDoof » August 2nd, 2011 11:09 pm

Hi,

How do say that 2 people "have a future"? Like, "At that moment, I saw that we had a future together".

Ideally I'd like to use some form of the word "future", but if it's super awkward whatever is the closest meaning would be fine...

I appreciate all of your time and help!!!!

Hi, iDoof.

In that case, Korean people use the phrase 'to make future together'

So, if you want to say 'They will have a future together', in Korean way, you can say that 'They will make a future together'

그들은 미래를 함께 만들 것입니다. (Geudeureun miraereul hamkke mandeul geosipnida.)

In other way for the past tense, you can say

나는 우리가 함께 미래를 만들어 나갈 것이라고 생각했다. (I thought that we would be making future together)

Then, could you write the sentence in Kroean by using the phrase ? : )

둘이 인연이 있나 봐요. 함께 미래를 만드는 것도 인연이겠지요.. 뭐 ㅋㅋ
