Newbie vs Absolute Beginner?

Postby jordanbourne7677 » May 23rd, 2010 11:54 pm

Hello, I was wondering where Absolute Beginner/Newbie fit into the progress, or are they similar subjects? I'm trying to map out the lessons so I only have to worry about learning and not have to worry about finding the next lesson. And I assume the following levels are: Beginner, Lower Intermediate, Intermediate, Advanced, but should I worry about the other categories such as: Idioms and Phrases, Lesson X, News, etc...

Thank you ahead of time!

P.S. I'm just trying to learn the language out of interest.

Hi Jordan,

If you can't read hangul 한굴 and really don't know any Korean try newbie or absolute beginner. I didn't do these because I taught myself hangul before I started here and had done a little bit from a textbook. I went straight to beginner, did all 5 seasons, did the lower intermediate and am now on the second season of intermediate.

I would leave idioms, lesson x etc till you get till intermediate/advanced level. The reason being that they may contain complex grammar and it becomes confusing.

Good luck.
