I know that:

boyfriend = 남자친구(남친)

girlfriend = 여자친구(여친)

but there must be a special word for "ex-boyfriend" and "ex-girlfriend."

How do you talk about your ex's in Korean?

It's 옛날. 옛날 means ex, just put it in front.

eg. 옛날 여자친구

Thanks! I took a look at the Beginner Series 1 Lesson 11. That's so much longer to say than just "ex". ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ

"옛날 남자 친구" is fine.

Another one is....
We say "전 남자 친구" or "전 여자 친구"

"전" means "before, previous"

Another example, 대통령 / 전 대통령
