Looking for a specific word/expression...

Postby SiEd » December 27th, 2008 8:23 pm

In English, we have a couple of expressions when we dramatically present something, i.e. "ta-da" or "voila" (from French, of course). Does Korean have any analogous words or expressions specifically for this function?

짜짠 is also good but 짜잔 is more natural, I think.

In my experience it's used just like the expression ta-da, but the intonation is flatter. Also 짜잔 seems to be used more often in casual settings. I don't think I personally know anyone who would actually say ta-da unless they were impersonating a professional magician. It could also be that many of the Koreans I know are more exuberant than average or that the rest of my friends are particularly sarcastic, though.
