Here is a real challenge - I am trying to identify a song I heard while living in Korea (1999 - 2001). I recall hearing it a number of times, so I believe it must have been fairly popular; however, the one instance I most clearly recall hearing it I was half asleep at 5:00 am in the back seat of a car on my way out to a golf course, I believe in the spring of 1999.
I cannot recollect much about the song (melodic intervals, etc.) I can recall that it was extremely spare in accompaniment - it may have been merely a voice and a single drum. The vocal was female, and extremely laid back. Also, I remember the drum accompaniment as being in two, in the following pattern: 1/8 rest, two 1/16 notes, 1/8 rest, 1/8 note.
Back in the States, the identity of this song has been bugging me for years! Anyone have a clue what it was?
