My wife is already in Puchoen, between Inchon and Seoul. I will be arriving this coming Saturday. My wife is a native Korean speaker. She wants to spend a week taking a road trip around coastal and rural areas to see parks, scenery and Korea historical attractions.
I used to drive a Kia van in 96-97 everyday between Waegwan and Daegu and sometimes to Pohang for work. Traffic was terrible for such a short distance! I once got stuck on the highway driving to see my wife in Seoul from Daegu, what a mistake! It took hours and hours longer because of traffic and men and women alike were forced to take care of their bodily functions in front of the world on the side of the highway!
She believes the traffic and travel will not be so bad in rural areas once we get out of Seoul. Does anyone have advice on an itinerary or thoughts on driving? I am more used to traveling Korea by public transportation. I have also done this in Europe.
