Here's a big challenge for you all! Make a sample sentence with each of the words in the video! 할 수 있죠? :)

Hi Ada,

Thanks for posting. Yes, 팔 is 1. eight in Sino Korean and 2. arm. This takes on the 'p' sound, whereas 발 is pronounced with a 'b' sound.

Cheers,

Lyn

so 팔 stands for both eight (sino-korean numbers) and arm. but the pronunciation for 팔 and 발(foot) are very similar.

Hello Danesha,

배 is the word meaning both "boat" and "stomach." For "bridge", you can use the word 다리 (dari.)

Have a great day!

Hi Calla,

Yes! That's exactly the same sound! 배 means both stomach and boat which you really have to look at the context when you see in the sentence.

And it also includes pear as well!haha

Need to be careful!;)

Thank you

So, both stomach and boat are 배?

On google translate it also says that 배 means embryo and pear... is this true?

Calla :)

In the sample vocab sentences under "lesson notes" - can someone explain why "my nose is itchy" = 코가간지러워요

while "my legs are itchy" =다리가 가려워요? Are the verbs interchangeable or just wondering......is it something like the case for the verb "to wear" - that different verbs are more appropriate for different parts of the body/types of clothing?
