Do you know how to say what you want or don't want to do in Korean? |
Welcome to Three Step Korean Practice by KoreanClass101.com. In this lesson, you will practice how to say what you want or don't want to do. |
Let’s look at the main dialogue. |
One person is saying to someone else… |
도준이 방을 풍선으로 꾸미고 싶어요. 도준이는 몰랐으면 좋겠어요. |
Dojuni bangeul pungseoneuro kkumigo sipeoyo. Dojunineun mollasseumyeon jokesseoyo. |
I want to decorate Dojun’s room with balloons. It would be great if he didn’t find out. |
By ending the first sentence with 싶어요 (sipeoyo), the speaker shows that they WANT to do something. |
Use -고 싶어요 (-go sipeoyo) to talk about what you want to do. Use -고 싶어 해요 (-go sipeo haeyo) to talk about what someone else wants to do. |
Let’s practice with this grammar more in this lesson. |
