Dialogue

Lesson Transcript

Do you know how to say what you want or don't want to do in Korean?
Welcome to Three Step Korean Practice by KoreanClass101.com. In this lesson, you will practice how to say what you want or don't want to do.
Let’s look at the main dialogue.
One person is saying to someone else…
도준이 방을 풍선으로 꾸미고 싶어요. 도준이는 몰랐으면 좋겠어요.
Dojuni bangeul pungseoneuro kkumigo sipeoyo. Dojunineun mollasseumyeon jokesseoyo.
I want to decorate Dojun’s room with balloons. It would be great if he didn’t find out.
By ending the first sentence with 싶어요 (sipeoyo), the speaker shows that they WANT to do something.
Use -고 싶어요 (-go sipeoyo) to talk about what you want to do. Use -고 싶어 해요 (-go sipeo haeyo) to talk about what someone else wants to do.
Let’s practice with this grammar more in this lesson.
