Do you know how to talk about different options in Korean? |
Welcome to Three Step Korean Practice by KoreanClass101.com. In this lesson, you will practice how to talk about different options. |
Let’s look at the main dialogue. |
Two people are having a conversation. |
도준아, 어떤 학과에 지원할지 생각해 봤어? (Dojuna, eotteon hakgwae jiweonhalji saenggakhae bwasseo?) |
Dojun, have you thought about which major you want to apply for? |
한국어 교육과에 지원할지 경영학과에 지원할지 고민하고 있어요. (Hangukeo gyoyukgwae jiweonhalji gyeongyeonghakgwae jiweonhalji gominhago isseoyo.) |
I’m debating whether to apply for the Korean education department or the business administration department. |
In this second sentence, 지원할지 (jiweonhalji) is conjugated with the ending -ㄹ지 (-lji), as the verb ends in a vowel. For verbs that end in consonants, -을지 (-eulji) is used instead. |
Let’s practice with this grammar more in this lesson. |
