Hello Julia,
Thank you for response and for the links. Actually, paragliding was the first "flying activity" I did, but the original reason for starting skydiving was to gradually become a wingsuit base jumper. Wingsuit base jumping has got similar goal as paragliding (gliding) but completely different execution. If there are a lot of places with high steep cliffs in Korea, then it's the perfect place for fulfilling my dream (:

I'm Julia. Nice to meet you.
You have gotten interest in thrilling sport!! Actually I love that kind of sport, too.
But Skydiving is not that famous. Maybe it's because of geographical features.
Anyway, I just got one website for skydiving, http://www.kpa.or.kr/
(Unfortunately you cannot jump off Building 63..^^;;;)
:lol:Surprise!! I brought other interesting sport "Paragliding" for you.
, which will be enough thrilling, I believe.
Paragliding in Korea will be fun due to many mountains.

Hello there,
Since this is my very first comment here at koreanclass101 I'd like to say hi to all the people behind this project, all the users, and also thanks for this amazing opportunity to learn my favorite language.
Oh yeah, an introduction... My name is Vlasta Pochop. I was born, raised and still living in Czech Republic and I'd like to change it. So I started learning Korean (; I still got a long way ahead of me but the important thing is that I really enjoy learning Korean with you guys (:
I didn't really listen to this audio blog (yet) as I wouldn't understand much of it anyway, but the headline caught my attention and made me think... Does anyone know about skydiving in Korea? I started participating in this thrilling sport not so long ago and it obviously made me addicted. So here come a few questions for skydiving fans living in Korea:
Is skydiving popular in Korea? Are there many landing zones near Seoul or other big cities? Are plane tickets cheaper or more expensive than elsewhere (it usually ranges from 20$ to 25$ per flight). Would instructors acknowledge my parachutist certificate from the aero club that is a member of FAI - The World Air Sports Federation (ok, not that I expect anyone to know this, but hey... d: )? Is base jumping legally possible in Korea? Would the police let me jump off Building 63 for instance?
Note to Se Hwa Yoon
Keep on skydiving. Tandem jump is just the beginning and though I actually never went through a tandem jump (I started jumping on my own from the beginning) I think I'm safe to say the experience will only get even better. Moments like falling with sunset that is laying red beams on a thick featherbed-like layer of clouds, meeting your first full rainbow, doing relative work with your friends (jumping in formations, haven't gotten there yet but can't wait for it) and ultimately - mastering free fall and getting some crazy freestyle moves filmed; these are the moments that pay off, that makes skydiving so utterly cool (:
Oops this got long
Can't wait to do some relative work with Koreans (:
Goodbye and blue skies
