Hi sonechtka,

Thanks for posting. 취향=preference, and 최애 combines two Sino Korean words, 'best and love', and literally means 'best love'. v파괴 means to destroy. 자 is the Sino Korean word for person. So the literal meaning would be preference destroyer. This is not a phrase that is in the dictionary, but rather, slang that was created by KPop fans. Having said that, 최애파괴자 is not in the dictionary nor is it used.

Hi Divisha

한류 is actually pronounced as hal-ryu due to the rules of batchim. You can find our lesson series describing the change in pronunciation of words that end with batchims(consonants) here:

Hi Kard1,

Thank you for posting. Bias is when you are definitely partial for one thing/person/group etc. over another. 편파적 is a phrase that means 'biased'. So to say that 'I am partial/biased as my favourite KPop band is BTS', for example, you would say "저의 최애는 방탄소년단이라 제 의견은 편파적일 수 밖에 없어요."

I hope this was of help!

Cheers,

Lyn

Hi Nehir,

Thank you for posting. One way to say 'bias wrecker' would be '취향파괴자' (취향=bias 파괴자=wrecker).

Cheers,

Hi guys I'm back and yes I'm from now on back on track! So I just want to ask a question.

How would you say:

I like to learn new things!

And could I also ask how does the sentence forming structure work? I don't understand the sov thing?
