First, let's take a look at what sorts of objects can be counted with this counter. |
When counting inanimate thin or flat objects, you can use the counter... |
장 (jang) |
In the past this counter was only used for counting paper. However, nowadays, people use this counter to count objects that look like paper, such as credit cards, CDs, and bills. |
Okay, let's count from 1 to 10 with this counter. |

Like most of the counters, the stress of the counter should be changed when you're reading the numbers 5 to 10, which have batchim. The stress should be on the first syllable. |

ilgop jjang(일곱 짱) not ilgop jang (일곱 장) |
