check my understanding

Postby usakorjb03 » May 4th, 2008 2:46 pm

I was reading in the comment area of the school lunch lesson and Iwanna make sure i understand the whole idea of -게 되다. it is said it means to "end up doing something" so if i were to say, " I ended up watching tv" it would be "나는 테레비전를 보게 되요."?

let me know if i'm on the right page with this.
제 이름은 문신이에요.

yup, that's about right :)

Just one thing when using that construction. Typically, since it's become that you've watched tv, the verb 되다 is used in its past tense. 됐어요.

테레비젼을 보게 됐어요.

Hope this helps :)
