Good sentences for Korean typing practice?

Postby hyunwoo » June 24th, 2009 2:50 am

Listener Candy Cole asked me in her email what are some good sentences in Korean for practicing typing.

For most Korean people, typing practice means typing a lot of different sentences using typing practice softwares, but her question got me thinking, what are some good sentences for typing practice in Korean?

These are the sentences I made :)

저는 어제밤 꿈에서 컴퓨터를 고쳤어요.
(In last night's dream, I fixed computers.)

안녕하세요. 처음 뵙겠습니다.
(Hi. How do you do.)

치킨하고 피자를 테이블 위에 놓았어요.
(I've put down chicken and pizza on the table.)

Of course there can't be one single sentence that will make your typing skills perfect all of a sudden, but can you think of any other good examples for typing practice in Korean?

Thanks!

Learning the Hangeul keyboard

These sentences are working!!
I've been trying to memorize the keyboard - but by typing sentences,
I'm finding it is a more realistic to actually type practice sentences.

Thanks Hyun Woo ssi!

How about this?

바쁜 만큼 모두 태우고 출발해야 또 얘기하는 폐단이 진짜로 제거돼요.
Only by leaving with all on board can get rid of the evil of speaking again.
(I'm not sure about this translation. ^^; )

It's like "The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog"
I just tried... hehe

한국음식을 먹고 싶으면 숟가락하고 젓가락 써야 합니다.

What I like in this sentence is that it contains words that are frequently used and thus should take only a very short time to type:
~고 싶~
~으면
~합니다
