KoreanClass hosts...show us your handwriting!

Postby Bouks » March 12th, 2008 4:29 am

It seems you had a contest for student handwriting in Korean, but I want to see how our own KoreanClass staff members write. Why don't you write us some messages in Korean, take photos and post them for us to figure out? (Please try to write clearly!)

It would be so fun if this were a regular feature as well 8)
On Skype, I'm nenuphar_ (just like that with the underline character ending)

As long as you guys promise not to write like my landlord, I think most people won't have too many problems!

I agree that this would be interesting~
현우씨 sent me a postcard for that contest awhile back and it was fun to see his handwriting! :) (Even though I had a very hard time making out some of the letters >.<)

Yes, it's probably not a bad idea to have the students participate too...but I think the staff should go first :D

I think this is a good idea too. My handwriting is terrible. I never practice writing Korean so it typically comes out childish and sloppy. Of course, my wife's English printing is much better than mine as well, and I print/write all day long. :?

Not too long ago posted a video in our youtube group of myself trying out hangul calligraphy for the second time (the first attempt was so ugly as I've never done brush calligraphy ever). I've since been taught by a friend. I'll make a better video soon.
I want to see everyone's handwriting, not just the hosts. I'm a type designer and it is my dream to make a hangul font someday. All 11,172 syllables  When I think of that number I get so scared

I for one would really like to improve my own handwriting...and I don't quite have the patience to practice writing big syllables like a first grader!

Anyway, I came across this video which demonstrates a common script style writing:

And this one, which demonstrates writing longer sentences in the cursive style:

Enjoy!

These were posted in our naver cafe too but I can't stream them. Could you extract the .flv files and make them downloadable? I really want to see these.
