Learn Korean with KoreanClass101.com! Wow, you never knew how much stuff you’d packed into your little apartment until it was time to move to Korea! And you thought the hard work was done before your Korean move, but now that you’re facing having to unpack all your boxes in Korea, you’re already feeling exhausted. Fortunately, you’ve recruited (or rather, bribed) your Korean friends to help you unpack. That means your new Korean apartment is a flurry of activity and a constant chorus of the Korean question, “Where should we put this box?” In directing your friends, you tell them in Korean, “Please put the box in the room indicated on the label.” You think to yourself in Korean, thank goodness for my meticulous labeling system: each label details in Korean what the box contains and where the box is supposed to go. As the boxes begin to stack up, you can no longer even see the floor of your Korean apartment. Maybe you should divide and conquer the decoration of the apartment among your Korean friends, or then again, maybe not…you’ve always been a little bit of a control freak. What if they put a piece of furniture in the wrong place or hang a picture on the wrong wall of your Korean apartment! Horrors!
Learning Korean with KoreanClass101.com is the most fun and effective way to learn Korean! This Korean Beginner lesson will show you how to use the Korean particles to say where you are going to do, place, or put something, among other things. With these particles, you’ll be able to direct your friends where you want your things in Korean. Don’t forget to bring the spackle in case things get a little out of control as you make your Korean apartment your own! 여러분, “-에다, 에다가” 로 예문을 만들어 보세요.
Monday at 2:43 am
실문 있어요
: 대화에는 지수의 끝 문장에세 왜 “-에서” 대신 “-가”를 썼어요? “-에서”과 “실수로” 함게 써야 됀나요? I see that in this case, “-에서”= (mistake) “from” or “by” the moving company and not “at” the moving company’s location, which is what I first understood (I know, rookie mistake
).
이 문장도 맞아요? 이삿짐 센터*가* 실수하고 2층에다가 짐을 가져다 놓았어.
도와 주셔 감사합나다.

1.이삿짐센터에서 실수로 2층에다 짐을 가져다 놓았어.
2.이삿짐센터가 실수하고, 2층에다 짐을 가져다 놓았어.
3.이삿짐센터가 실수로 2층에다 짐을 가져다 놓았어.
1,2, and 3 are all correct answers.
셋 다 맞는 문장 입니다.
Keep it up

I’m just wondering something here:
Is the expression, “가져다 놓다,” the same as, “가지고 놓다?” I’ve seen the second form in a lot of places, but this is the first time I’ve seen the first. Also, is the first form listed in the grammar bank anywhere? I’d like to look into it more!
Nice lesson. Seems like the guy that’s helping her gets tired kinda fast, though!

I am Jaehwi from Koreanclass101.com
Thank you for asking us the question.
I believe that 가지고 놓다 should be 가지고 놀다(gajigo nolda), which means ‘to play’. The verb-stem of 가지다(gajida) means ‘to get’ or ‘to have’, so if the combined verb ‘가지고 놀다(gajigo nolda)’ means ‘to get and play’ literally.
In the same way, ‘가져다 놓다(gajyeoda notta)’ means ‘to get and to put down’ so they have different meaning.
(you can also say 가져다가 놓다 - gagyeodaga notta)
