Farming in Korea is often passed down through families and harvest season is celebrated with local festivals and markets.
Chuseok (추석), Korean Thanksgiving and Harvest Festival is one of the biggest and most important holidays in Korea. Chuseok celebrates the autumn harvest and family togetherness, much like Thanksgiving.
During this time, families travel to their hometowns to pay respects to ancestors, visit graves and offer the year’s harvest foods.
