You'll learn how in just a moment.
Hi, my name is Joyce, and this is Three Step Korean by KoreanClass101.com.
In this lesson, you'll learn how to describe past events with context using -는데 through a quick conversation.
Let's look at the dialogue.
(Seulgi ssi, jeo jinandare jeontong chukjee danyeowasseoyo.)
(A, jeongmallyo? Eottaesseoyo?)
(Bame yeondeung haengryeori isseonneunde, jeongmal areumdawosseoyo.)
와! (Wa! Sajin jjigeosseoyo?)
(Ne, yeogi boseyo. Deungburi byeolcheoreom boyeosseoyo.)
(Jeongmal yeppeuda! Daeumeneun jeodo gago sipeoyo.)
Let's look at it once more, with translation.
(Seulgi ssi, jeo jinandare jeontong chukjee danyeowasseoyo.)
Seulgi, I went to a traditional festival last month.
(A, jeongmallyo? Eottaesseoyo?)
Oh, really? How was it?
Pay attention to the next sentence. It follows the key speaking pattern you'll learn later in this lesson.
(Bame yeondeung haengryeori isseonneunde, jeongmal areumdawosseoyo.)
There was a lantern parade at night, and it was truly beautiful.
와! (Wa! Sajin jjigeosseoyo?)
Wow! Did you take photos?
(Ne, yeogi boseyo. Deungburi byeolcheoreom boyeosseoyo.)
Yes, look here. The lanterns looked like stars.
(Jeongmal yeppeuda! Daeumeneun jeodo gago sipeoyo.)
So pretty! Next time, I want to go too.
