Lesson Transcript

Do you know how to describe what you did or how something was in Korean?
You'll learn how in just a moment.
Hi, my name is Joyce, and this is Three Step Korean by KoreanClass101.com.
In this lesson, you'll learn how to use the past tense in Korean to casually talk about past activities and experiences.
Let's look at the dialogue.
여보, 지난주 절 체험 정말 조용하고 좋았어요. (Yeobo, jinanju jeol cheheom jeongmal joyonghago joasseoyo.)
그래요? 뭐가 제일 좋았어요? (Geuraeyo? Mwoga jeil joasseoyo?)
새벽 예불 소리가 인상적이었고, 차 마시는 시간도 좋았어요. (Saebyeok yebul soriga insangjeogieotgo, cha masineun sigando joasseoyo.)
분위기가 좋았겠네요. (Bunwigiga joatgenneyo.)
네, 사진도 많이 찍었어요. 다음에 같이 가요. (Ne, sajindo mani jjigeosseoyo. Daeume gachi gayo.)
좋아요. 휴가 때 계획해 봐요. (Joayo. Hyuga ttae gyehoekhae bwayo.)
Let's look at it once more, with translation.

Really? What did you like the most?
Pay attention to the next sentence. It follows the key speaking pattern you'll learn later in this lesson.
새벽 예불 소리가 인상적이었고, 차 마시는 시간도 좋았어요. (Saebyeok yebul soriga insangjeogieotgo, cha masineun sigando joasseoyo.)
The dawn prayer sound was impressive, and the tea time was also good.
분위기가 좋았겠네요. (Bunwigiga joatgenneyo.)
Sounds like the atmosphere was nice.
네, 사진도 많이 찍었어요. 다음에 같이 가요. (Ne, sajindo mani jjigeosseoyo. Daeume gachi gayo.)
