Do you know how to make casual invitations in Korean?
You'll learn how in just a moment.
Hi, my name is Joyce, and this is Three Step Korean by KoreanClass101.com.
In this lesson, you'll learn how to make casual invitations in Korean through a quick conversation.
Let's look at the dialogue.
에리카 씨, 이번 주말에 남대문 시장에 같이 갈래요? (Erika ssi, ibeon jumare Namdaemun sijange gachi gallaeyo?)
좋아요! 오전이 좋아요, 오후가 좋아요? (Joayo! Ojeoni joayo, ohuga joayo?)
오전이 사람이 더 적어서 편할 거예요. (Ojeoni sarami deo jeogeoseo pyeonhal geoyeyo.)
그럼 10시에 만날까요? 괜찮아요? (Geureom yeol sie mannalkkayo? Gwaenchanayo?)
네, 좋아요. 시장 구경하고 길거리 음식도 먹어요. (Ne, joayo. Sijang gugyeonghago gilgeori eumsikdo meogeoyo.)
좋아요! 기대돼요! (Joayo! Gidae dwaeyo!)
Let's look at it once more, with translation. Pay attention to the first sentence. It follows the key speaking pattern you'll learn later in this lesson.
에리카 씨, 이번 주말에 남대문 시장에 같이 갈래요? (Erika ssi, ibeon jumare Namdaemun sijange gachi gallaeyo?)
Erica, want to go to Namdaemun Market together this weekend?
좋아요! 오전이 좋아요, 오후가 좋아요? (Joayo! Ojeoni joayo, ohuga joayo?)
Sure! Do you prefer morning or afternoon?
오전이 사람이 더 적어서 편할 거예요. (Ojeoni sarami deo jeogeoseo pyeonhal geoyeyo.)
Morning will be less crowded, so it'll be more comfortable.
그럼 10시에 만날까요? 괜찮아요? (Geureom yeol sie mannalkkayo? Gwaenchanayo?)
Then shall we meet at 10? Is that okay?
네, 좋아요. 시장 구경하고 길거리 음식도 먹어요. (Ne, joayo. Sijang gugyeonghago gilgeori eumsikdo meogeoyo.)
Yes, great. Let’s look around the market and try street food.
좋아요! 기대돼요! (Joayo! Gidae dwaeyo!)
Sounds good! I’m excited!
