Hi Anya,

Thank you for posting. It depends on your command of the Korean language. If you are an absolute beginner, you may want to try the ABS pathway. If you know how to read and write Hangul, but want to understand basic sentence structures (which will make it easier to put together/understand sentences in Korean, try this series):

Hope this helped. Please let us know if you have any other inquiries.

Best,

Lyn

Hi!

Do you recommend any particular lessons on this website I should learn or review, in order to understand what was in the video?

Because I'm not quite sure where to start, and it seems I have a lot to learn before being able to understand things in the absolute beginner section!

Thanks!

Yikes, I had to double check I was in the absolute beginner section. While I understood some I have a lot of room for improvement. I'll add the vocabulary to my word bank & flashcards and try again in a few days.

Yes, the term absolute beginner is incorrect as absolute begginer is "hello, I am steve. The weather is nice today". I find the categorization rather overdone. Should just be levels from 0 to 10, rather than newbie, absolute beginner 1 and 2, beginner, etc...

Also, even though people wish to grow accustom to natural korean speaking spead, an absolute beginner speed should be slowed down a bit.

Hi Michael,

Thank you for posting. Sticking with this lesson is one good way to get the phrases down. Also, if you would like other lessons for absolute beginners, you may want to go to our 'Learning Paths' section to see which lesson series fit your level. Just click on 'LESSONS' at the top of the page, then 'Learning Paths', and it will show you the various lessons available according to the level of learning.

Cheers,

Lyn
