You are absolutely correct, however we are translating English to Korean.
Without affecting English we used the best possible way to translate that sentence,
providing additional information in form of image for the clear meaning.
There’s no exact equivalent in Korean but there are some ways to translate the word: 나이드신 여성 분, 나이가 지긋한 여자, 할머니, 고령여성, etc. We choose a word based on the context.

It doesn’t say elderly “woman” in Korean, but it says so in English. This is an inaccurate translation as the receive of the flowers could be an elderly man as well. The correct translation would be “Giving the elderly flowers is a kind act.”
