Different font styles for writing hangul

Postby mcfarljow » January 19th, 2015 11:50 pm

I've noticed there are lots of different fonts out there that display hangul in slightly different ways. I'm curious to know if there is a specific font that is more "proper" in terms of how it represents each hangul. Here are some examples using three different fonts:

Which font do you feel is a better representation of hangul for learning? Is there another even better font?

Hi there,

A typeface called "궁서체" Gungseo Font was developed by court ladies of the Joseon Dynasty and is short for "궁중 서체" meaning "court handwriting." It has become the standard of the current Korean. And it will help you recognize different handwriting styles.

Hope this helps. :)
