what is the actual meaning of 것 and 보세요?

I would like to ask the actual meaning of this word 것.

from my understanding 것 means thing, object.

it can be used like this
이것 얼마예요? - how much is this thing?

but recently I learned a new sentence
질문 한것 말해 보세요

if i were to break down each of the words and translate it to english, it will be like
질문- question
한것- one thing
말해- do speak
보세요 - please
= please speak one thing question? which doesn't make sense at all.

and I noticed that 보세요 is used in the sentence to express a request.
can I use 주세요 instead 보세요 since 주세요 is also expressing a request to someone?

Thank you for your question and it is indeed confusing!

Here 질문한 것 means 'the thing (you) have asked' not one thing which is comletely mistakable.

Also -세요 is used as a polite form so here 보다 is transformed as 보세요 while 주다 as 주세요.

So depending on the verb you could simply add -세요!;)
