cell phone terminology

Postby iDoof » August 26th, 2011 12:22 pm

Can anyone tell me some of the common cell phone terminology?

missed call
received call
to return someone's call (is there a word for calling someone BACK?)

Also, how do I say that someone's name is slowly disappearing from my phone's call list (i.e. to indicate that we haven't spoken in a while -- I know I could just say it directly, but I'm curious how to make an expression like this)

Thanks guys! As always you guys rock

Hi. : )

For sure, we can help you : )

- missed call : 부재중 전화
- received mall : 받은 전화
- to return someone's call : 전화를 다시 걸다.

To say that someone's name is slowly disappearing from my phone's call list in the case that you haven't called someone for a while, you can say

전화번호가 어디론가 사라진 것 같아요. to mean it seems like the telephone number have been disappeared somewhere.

This is polite and good excuse to say that, so you can use the phrase.

If you have more questions, please let us know.

Thank you.

Great question! ...and great reply by Mueo--HAAAAAAA-NOh! :)

I was going to suggest you download the Korean version of a Samsung phone manual..

Right after reading this post one of the terms (missed call : 부재중 전화) came up in a story I was reading -- how cool is that!
