투지 = 'gg!' ?!

I just had this Korean epiphany that I thought I'd share.

Is it just a coincidence?

I used to kill a few hours a week on Star Craft myself......I still have it actually. I was a huge MMORPG player though, 8-10 hours a day. I think it was an addiction.

It’s my first time to know that GG means 투지 - I always thought it only meant Good Game, too.

But, if you say ‘지지(=GG)’ in spoken Korean, it sometimes means “(the situation) is over. there’s nothing you can do - you(or I) blew it. You(or I) lost. “

:D

I think it's just a coincidence...

I love Korean gaming English.

some examples:

지지, ㅈㅈ, ㅉ = gg = good game
manner game = no cheating please
ㅅㄱㅅㄱ = 수고수고 = good job (수고했습니다)

And many others that I can't remember! :P
