Hi Clara,

Thanks for posting. ‘ํ•˜๊ธฐ/๊ธฐ’ is usually used at the end of a phrase to show the speaker’s intention to do what has been said (although you do not know whether the speaker will actually succeed or not). It is usually used in New Year’s resolutions and lists of things to do.

Hope this answered your question. Please let us know if you have any other inquiries.

Best,
Lyn

์•ˆ๋…•ํ•˜์„ธ์š”!
Is there a grammatical reason behind the ending of these phrases?
I noticed that they all end with ํ•˜๊ธฐ or ๊ธฐ.
Thank you for all your great lessons!
