Let’s say you run into an old friend who you haven’t seen in years. What’s the first thing you say? I’ll bet it’s something like, “It’s been at least five years since I’ve seen you!” Sentences like this are important; they help you convey to others that you remember them, that they made an impact on your life. So, you should be able to let, “It’s been (years)…” roll right off your tongue.

In this beginner Korean lesson, you’ll learn to express how long it’s been since something happened until now using –만. In addition, you’ll find ways to express periods of time, like one year and three months. Plus, find plenty of example sentences that will get you feeling comfortable with this critical Korean sentence structure.
